About Saluura
Most wellness frameworks assess buildings in isolation. Saluura was built to look at the whole place: the streets, services and everyday life that shape how well people actually live. Founded by placemaking and built environment practitioners, it turns years of on-the-ground experience into an evidence-based framework that developers, investors and local authorities can act on.

Dan Johnson
Founder & Chief Executive
Dan is the Founder of Saluura and Placemaking London, and a leading adviser on wellness placeshaping, urban transformation and transitioning to sustainable economy. For more than 25 years, he has helped cities, business improvement districts, developers, investors and public sector organisations create places that support healthier lives, stronger communities and long-term economic prosperity. Throughout his career, Dan has led complex transformation programmes across London and the UK, bringing together government, transport authorities, landowners, businesses, investors and communities behind a shared vision for change. His expertise spans public realm strategy, healthy streets, sustainability, active travel, governance, place management and wellness-led development, with a particular focus on translating ambitious visions into practical, measurable outcomes. Previously, as Director of Placemaking at New West End Company, Dan was responsible for shaping the future of one of the world's most significant commercial districts. Through Placemaking London, he has since advised on some of the UK's most ambitious public realm, regeneration and destination management programmes, including Knightsbridge, St Martin's Lane, the Arts Quarter and King's road, helping clients create places that generate social, environmental and economic value. Dan founded Saluura because existing built environment frameworks overlook the wider factors that influence wellbeing. By combining global wellness research, placemaking best practice and practical delivery experience, Saluura provides a framework for creating places that are not only successful and sustainable, but actively promote healthier lives.
